Oriana · Delete your data
Delete everything from the app
Oriana has no accounts. Your goal, profile details, stories, audio files, cards and journal are kept on your phone and, if you have it turned on, in your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google); they are never kept on our server. To delete all of it from the phone: Me › Your data › Delete everything. It happens immediately and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app also deletes it from the phone. A copy already in your phone’s backup is deleted in your phone’s backup settings; we have no access to it.
If you want to keep a copy first, use Me › Your data › Export. The export also shows the random device ID, which is useful if you want the server-side record removed.
What the server holds
When a story is written or voiced, your name, goal and profile details are sent to the server, and the story is produced and returned. That text and the audio are not stored: they pass through memory and are gone once the answer is sent.
Four kinds of record may exist on the server. The first is a small counter tied to the random device ID: that day’s text, voice and sentence-voicing counts, a lifetime voice count and the day it was last used. It is kept for the free first story and the daily limits, and it holds no name, no goal and no story text. The daily counts reset each day, and the record is deleted automatically after 90 days without use. The second is a record of the days you open the app: the random device ID, your language, your phone type and the day on which steps such as your first story and your first voice first happened. It holds no name, goal or story text, and it is deleted automatically 90 days after you last open the app. The third is the short technical report sent when something unexpected goes wrong in the app: the error message and where it happened, the app version, your phone type and a short hash of the device ID; it is deleted automatically after 30 days. The fourth exists only if you sent feedback: the reason you picked, the text you wrote, the language, the app version and platform, whether you have a subscription, the story’s narrator, style, story number, listen count and language, and a short hash of the device ID; it is kept for 24 months and holds no name, goal or story text. You can ask for all of them to be deleted.
For subscription checks, the same random device ID is matched with the subscription status reported by the store through RevenueCat, and it is also known to Superwall, which shows the subscription screen. PostHog, which measures screen use anonymously, never receives the device ID; its records are tied to a random ID of its own and cannot be linked to you.
Asking for the server-side record to be deleted
Email aktasfirat682@gmail.com with the subject “data deletion.” Include the device ID from Me › Your data › Export so the record can be found. Requests are carried out within 7 days and confirmed to you in writing.
What is deleted, what is kept
- Deleted on request: the usage counter tied to your random device ID, the record of the days you open the app, error reports, feedback and the subscription mapping.
- Never stored: your goal text, profile details, story texts and audio are not kept on the server at any time.
- Kept by others: Apple, Google and Amazon keep purchase records under their own policies, and Oriana cannot delete those. Our AI service providers do not use the prompt to train models; some may keep it briefly under their own terms for abuse detection.
